UNS S32615 Plate

UNS S32615 Plate is a high silicon austenitic stainless steel flat product that is developed to be used in structural and pressure retaining services in extremely corrosive chemical environments. It has a silicon content of 4.8-6.0% and copper additions of 1.5-2.5% and this gives it an outstanding performance against sulfuric and hydrochloric acids in both dilute and concentrated form. UNS S32615 plate which is manufactured to either the ASTM A240 / ASME SA-240 standard is highly sought after in the fabrication of pressure vessels, reaction vessel lining, acid storage tanks, and structural components in chemical process facilities where the more traditional stainless steels are easily corroded by the exfoliating gases present.
