These tubes are made from niobium stabilised austenitic stainless steel strip or plate and are welded together by the process of electric resistance welding or electric fusion welding. SS 347 Welded Tubes are available in solution annealed condition and are particularly suitable for long service life at high temperature where the resistance to intergranular corrosion is critical. SS 347 Welded Tubes are manufactured to the ASTM A249, ASTM A269, and ASTM A554 standards. As an integral part of our quality plan our welded tubes for heat exchangers, boilers and superheaters are tested for weld integrity, eddy current and hydrostatic testing at 100%.
