C27000 brass pipe is an alloy of copper and zinc that consists of around 65% copper and 35% zinc and is known for its ductile property and excellent cold-working properties. It is usually available as either seamless tubing (under standard ASTM B135) or welded tubing (under standard ASTM B587). It is suitable for applications where bending, drawing, and shaping are required. C27000 limits lead to 0.09% max, well below the US 0.25% weighted-average definition of lead free. However, merely the tubing by itself will not make a product qualify as drinking water-compliant. Cold working of C27000 is more appropriate than hot forging. USA Piping Solution supplies C27000 brass pipe with material traceability and EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates.
